Hi, my name is Lydia. I’m new to the team and will be taking up the role of Rigging Operations Assistant.

I have always had a passion for being on the water and being involved with all things boats. I first started sailing when I was 7 years old, where I learnt to sail at the Helford River Children’s Sailing Trust. Since then I have completed my RYA Dinghy Instructor alongside my RYA Senior Instructor. In addition, I have also completed my RYA Competent Crew as well as a number of other instructor qualifications. I have spent the last 4 years teaching a range of activities at Stithians Watersports Centre from RYA courses to birthdays and activity days.

After leaving school, I have steered my education towards the marine industry. I have studied at; Falmouth Marine School, Truro College (Plymouth University accredited) and University of St Mark and St John where I completed a Level 3 BTEC in Watersports and a BA Hons in Outdoor Adventure Education.

I am looking forward to broadening my knowledge within the industry and meeting lots of new people. Please don’t hesitate to come down or call up to say hello, I am really looking forward to meeting you all and would love to introduce myself.
